Tracks A1-3 are recorded at an unknown venue in the Norwegian town of Fredrikstad, misprinted as Frederiksstad on the cover.

Tracks B1-4 are from the Jazz at the Philharmonic concert in Stuttgart on their European 1959 tour. This was a concert evening with Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson Trio and Roy Eldridge. The venue is probably the fairly new Liederhalle in Stuttgart.
