The Fender "American Standard," affectionately known as "Amesta," a standard model of Fender USA's regular line produced for 30 years since its debut in 1986, has arrived in stock. This Stratocaster model features a Pewter color with Maple fingerboard specification, manufactured in 1988 (Neck Date 11-03-88)! The weight is 3.67kg.

Featuring standard wood materials with an Alder body, Maple neck & Maple fingerboard with 22 frets, and of course a 4-point bolt-on joint. Characteristics include a 9.5R with Medium Jumbo frets and a 2-point tremolo bridge for easy arm operation. Controls consist of 1 Vol, Tone (front), and TBX Tone (center & rear), with a 5-position pickup selector. It is equipped with 3 original "American Standard Single-Coil Strat" pickups. Other electronics are also believed to be original.

While the Amesta is an ultra-long-selling model, many of these 1990s Anestas, like the Eric Clapton model, feature the TBX Tone, which expands high-frequency control range and offers a different charm compared to later models.

Additionally, 1988 is positioned in the early period of the Amesta lineup, and the exquisite coloring—a subtle balance between gray and silver like what Clapton used—is also characteristic of this guitar. Despite over 35 years having passed since manufacture, it gives the impression of using higher quality wood compared to current models. This is a fine guitar that makes you understand why musicians still love it today!

Personally, this is a model I'd recommend far more than the successor models, the American Professional and American Professional II.
